Myrna padded softly to the creek, her watchful blue orbs gazing over the horizon, searching for enemies that seemed to not exist. The sunlight shone down on her, making her fur look even more white and her pretty blue eyes sparkle. She dipped her foot in to test the water, then found herself rolling around in the middle of the creek. This seemed to be one of the rare occasions she put her guard down and let herself be happy.
Myrna giggled and stuck her mouth into the water, trying to catch the small fish. She jumped, raising after a certain fish, her tail wagging excitedly. Myrna pounced, panting, her face filled with happiness. She lifted her paws and to her disappointment, found them empty. Myrna sighed but continued playing her game of catch the fish.
(Rather small post....and yes I'm starting another thread...trying to get the site posting. )

Colette bounced gaily through the taciturn forest. With her tail held high and floating carelessly behind her, she pranced through the underbrush without a worry in the world. Between her narrow jaws she clutched a small brown rabbit, hanging like a limp piece of cloth. Colette was new to this region, but she never gave up an opportunity to revel in one of life's simple pleasures. Her lust for adventure and insatiable instinct to hunt had her barreling through strange forests, tackling small woodland animals left and right. She made up for her lack of tack and caution, however, with the gift of speed. Her thin, graceful body and long, sinewy legs allowed her to fly across the land with the best of them, so if she ran into a foe that she could not take head on, she would have no problem high-tailing it out of there. Luckily the young wolf's carelessness hadn't led her into too much trouble, yet.
Suddenly her ears twitched and shot forward as the sound of splashing water reached her. The pale smoky wolf crouched and began to slink forward, her sage green eyes round and focused on the clearing just ahead. She paused at the clearing's edge, as a dazzling white wolf appeared, splashing merrily in a small creek. Unsure of what to do next, Colette subconsciously bit down on the helpless rabbit, her fangs causing a small amount of blood to ooze out of its wounds and splatter on the forest floor. No doubt the smell of fresh meat had already permeated through the air of the sunny clearing, but Colette remained frozen, her round green eyes shining like jewels. Panic rushed through her body, tensing her muscles and making her fur stand on end. Had she led herself into danger? Would she be able to escape if this strange wolf attacked? Her bushy tail swept across the forest floor and tucked itself underneath her body, but Colette remained motionless. 1
